President Aleksandar Vučić has decided to leave the presidency and run for the position of Prime Minister. Serbia is set to hold early parliamentary elections on October 25, 2026. Vučić’s party, the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), has nominated him as its candidate for Prime Minister. Aleksandar Vučić is constitutionally barred from seeking another presidential term because he has already been elected president twice.
