Technology giant Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the “iPhone Duo,” priced at $1,999, in what is being described as the most significant change to its flagship iPhone lineup since 2017.
Unveiled at an event held under the leadership of new CEO John Ternus, the phone is roughly the size of a passport and unfolds into a 7.6-inch-wide display. It features a custom hinge, a titanium body, an A20 chip, and Apple’s newly designed C2 modem. Designed for business and productivity, the device allows users to run multiple apps simultaneously.
The event also saw the launch of more affordable noise-cancelling AirPods, the Apple Watch Series 12 with advanced health features, and the Apple Watch Ultra 4.
