Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the tomb of Prophet Joseph in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus in the presence of Israeli forces. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli military vehicles entered the eastern part of Nablus and forced residents living near the tomb of Prophet Joseph to leave the area. Arab media reported that Israeli forces deployed snipers on the rooftops of residential buildings, turning the area into a military zone. The forces also fired tear gas at journalists and closed roads in the area. Meanwhile, Israeli settlers performed Talmudic religious rituals at the tomb of Prophet Joseph. Arab media described the site as a disputed religious location that is traditionally associated with the burial place of Prophet Joseph.
