Flight Disruptions in the UK Continue for Third Day, Affecting another 3,500 Flights Flight disruptions in the UK continued for a third consecutive day due to a technical fault in the air traffic system, affecting another 3,500 flights. According to airport data, the number of affected flights has exceeded 12,000 over the past three days. Flight schedules show that a further 60 flights at London Heathrow were cancelled, while 729 were delayed. At Gatwick Airport, 17 flights were cancelled and 529 were delayed. Manchester Airport saw five cancellations, while 403 flights were delayed.
A total of 349 flights at Stinted, 222 at Edinburgh, 193 at Birmingham and 127 at Bristol were affected. A further 124 flights at Glasgow, 87 at Belfast and 240 at Luton were also affected. According to airport data, 2,500 flights were cancelled and 9,500 were delayed over the three-day period. Meanwhile, the disruption to air traffic services has affected around two million passengers across the UK.
