Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Türkiye would not remain silent in the face of hostile actions taking place around it in the region. He stressed that Türkiye is not against any state, society, faith, or culture.
The Turkish president said that despite its difficult geopolitical situation, Türkiye wants to continue its journey as an independent and prosperous state and will not allow anyone to obstruct its progress.
Commenting on the regional situation, Erdoğan accused Israel of attempting to sabotage the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding through falsehoods and acts of subversion.
Referring to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and their broader repercussions, Erdoğan held Israel responsible for the continuing instability in the region.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the storm of crises in the region would not end until the mindset that views even the slightest possibility of peace as a threat is changed. He stressed that lasting peace in the region requires choosing cooperation and peace over confrontation.
