Proposal to rename the U.S. state of New Mexico as “New America.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed renaming the state of New Mexico “New America.” According to Al Arabiya Urdu, Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that many people had suggested changing the name of New Mexico to “New America.” He said he liked the idea.

The U.S. president described the proposed name as more dignified and beautiful for the residents of the state, saying, “What a wonderful idea. I like it.” In the same post, Donald Trump also repeated his allegations regarding elections in the state and listed New Mexico among the states where, according to him, widespread electoral fraud takes place. However, Trump did not provide any evidence to support his allegation.

He also did not clarify whether the proposal to change the state’s name was a formal initiative that his administration would pursue, or merely an expression of support for an idea put forward by others.
