A senior Jewish religious scholar based in the
United Kingdom has said that the end of Israel is “100 percent near” and that
the day will arrive very soon, adding that they are praying for it. According
to Hawzah News Agency, Jewish religious leader Elhanan Beck made the remarks during
an interview with Al-Alam TV, expressing the views of a minority of Jews living
in Britain regarding the Israeli government.
Beck emphasized that what is happening in Gaza
today amounts to genocide on a massive scale. He said the situation was even worse
than what Jews experienced 80 years ago, accusing Zionists of inflicting
similar suffering on the people of Gaza. He described the conduct as “madness”
and said it was particularly disturbing that these acts were being carried out
in the name of Jewish people, the Torah and God. Beck said officials of the
Israeli government should face proceedings before the International Court of
Justice (ICJ). He added that the root cause of the conflict was what he
described as the unlawful occupation of Palestinian land by Israel.
He further argued that Israel’s occupation did
not begin on October 7 but had started 75 years earlier. He said the Israeli
government’s actions and alleged violations involving Palestinian land were
widely known, adding that the only way to resolve the issue was to return
Palestinian land to the Palestinian people.
Beck clarified that this did not mean expelling
Jewish people from the region. Rather, he said, they could live there safely
under a Palestinian government, just as Jewish communities live peacefully in
various Islamic countries, including Iran. Referring to visits to Iran by his
friends, Beck said Jewish people live peacefully there and have their own
hospitals and representatives in parliament. He said this was why he maintained
that Jews could also live peacefully in Palestine. Concluding his remarks, Beck
said they were praying for the end of Israel and hoped that the day would come
soon.
