U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an
executive order granting exemptions from sanctions, tariffs and other
restrictions предусмотрed under the Graham Act targeting Russia and Iran. In
the order, Trump stated that he was exempting certain measures provided for
under the legislation, informing Congress that the decision was in the national
interest of the United States under the current circumstances.
The executive order grants exemptions from
proposed provisions that would impose 500% tariffs on Russian products and 100%
tariffs on the five largest importers of Russian oil and gas: China, India,
Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. It also provides exemptions from
provisions proposing 100% tariffs on five major countries or entities accused
of helping Russia circumvent international sanctions.
